Hi, I'm Gerlanda, a Dutch photographer based in Alhaurín de la Torre, Málaga. I specialise in natural newborn photography throughout Málaga, the Costa del Sol and Andalusia.

When is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?
The ideal time for a newborn photoshoot is usually within the first 5 to 21 days after birth. During this period, babies are often sleepier and naturally curl into those beautiful newborn poses. However, beautiful photographs can also be taken when your baby is one or two months old. At that stage, babies are often more alert and may reward you with lovely eye contact and their first little smiles.
Of course, every baby is different. If your little one arrives earlier or later than expected, or if you'd prefer a session when your baby is one or two months old, that's absolutely possible too. We'll plan your session together, choosing the timing that feels right for you and your baby, so the experience is relaxed, enjoyable and completely tailored to your family's needs.
Many parents choose to book their newborn photoshoot during pregnancy. This allows us to reserve a place in my schedule around your due date and confirm the exact session date once your baby has arrived.

Planning your newborn photoshoot is simple. From our first conversation to the delivery of your final images, I'll guide you through every step of the experience.
1. We'll plan your session
Together we'll choose the perfect location (in-home or studio), the best time for your baby's feeding and sleep schedule, and any props or themes you'd like to include.
2. Relax and enjoy
There's no need to worry about your baby sleeping or crying. Every newborn session follows your baby's pace, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddles and comforting whenever needed.
I'll gently guide you throughout the session while ensuring your baby remains safe, comfortable and relaxed.
3. Enjoy the experience
Take a moment to slow down and enjoy this unique stage of your baby's life. The most beautiful photographs are often created when you're simply relaxed and enjoying the moment.
4. Choose your favourite images
Within a few days, and always within two weeks, you'll receive a private online gallery where you can easily select your favourite photographs.
5. Receive your memories
Each selected image is carefully edited with attention to every detail before being delivered in high resolution, ready to print, share and treasure for years to come.
